Lord Claude's continuing cover

Hey everyone. I am Lord Claude's proud mumma. Since I first came upon him scavenging by my bins, life has not been the same. Many of you have seen Claude's antics on here over his 15 years of mischief making, he's certainly a character and runs rings around me. But I wouldn't have him any other way.

Earlier this month I had some bad news regarding Claude's insurance renewal. I expected it would increase given his health issues and significant claims, but they've more than doubled it. It will be £154.18 month from 3.5.25. Yep, you read that right. That's £1850.16 year, and with the 2 excesses of £100 for KD and arthritis, that's over £2050 costs, before any appointments, treatments, meds and food he needs. As Claude is an old boy I also have to pay 20% of everything at the vets on top of the insurance premiums.

I already cancelled and minimised the outgoings I could last year, to help pay for his unhealing wound surgery, and then KD investigations and subsequent treatment. So, to get such a high quote is devastating. If I don't renew then we will be in trouble as Claude is on regular meds, and periodically has to get tests and stats checking his KD, and some of the meds give him side effects which needed treating too. His arthritis treatment is currently being changed as he's not been doing quite so well, but hopefully we can find what suits him and helps him better.

Last year some of you encouraged me to make a Go Fund Me. I didn't at that time, but I think I need to now, to be able to pay for his insurance for this year, to continue monitoring and treating his health issues as our excellent vets have done so far. I put aside anything I can to build 'Claude's savings', to try and be prepared in advance of issues happening. But that's all gone. I hate asking, but if any of you do want to help, I have to put aside my pride and ask for him. He deserves another year enjoying his patrolling and leaf rolling, and stealing my jeans.
