Loraine Akins Hand suffered a life-threatening brain injury on April 22, 2017. An accidental fall was the cause and she spent 9 days in Intensive Care at St Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho where an incredible trauma and neuro team saved her life and put her on the road to recovery.
Her care continues in the St Alphonsus acute rehab center as she makes progress every day. It is too soon to know how long she will be under care or what her long-term prognosis will be. That being said, her spirits are strong and she is determined to make a significant recovery.
This fund will offset Loraine's medical expenses along with some home accessibility projects.
