Most of you know Lora as a great mom, a wonderful friend and an amazing teacher.  
She is all of these . . 

Recently Lora's been having trouble with her vision, including headaches. After seeing an eye doctor last week, she learned that she has a retinal detachment, and she had surgery on Saturday October 19 to correct it.  

Now comes the recovery. Lora will be out of work for at least 2-3 weeks as she recovers and we all pray for full restoration of her vision. She has to spend this entire full week, maybe longer,  sitting 24/7 with her head down, looking at the floor.  This uses gravity to put pressure on the retina to make it stay in place while it heals.  

Your prayers are needed at this difficult time. Her kids are great and will help the family get through this but I imagine this is scary for them as well. The cost of this surgery and missing work for 2+ weeks will certainly be a financial hardship for Lora's family. Any financial assistance you can provide will be appreciated.
