Lora K. Hickethier was promoted the heaven on October 9, 2023 at 8:06 a.m.

We knew her as a lion-hearted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and nurse. She was lightning fast to crack a joke and faster still to encourage, protect, feed and support everyone in her world. Twelve years ago she fought a ferocious battle with cancer—and won—and went on to dedicate herself as a nurse to caring for others facing a battle with cancer. She overcame numerous health challenges after that but remained steadfast in loving her family and friends until the time of her departure.

The service celebrating Lora's life will commence at 1:30 on October 30, 2023 at Crossroads Community Church, 9900 South Twenty Mile Road in Parker, Colorado. All who loved Lora are welcome and encouraged to attend.

In lieu of flowers, if you would like to contribute to the Lora Kay Hickethier Memorial Fund, the family would be grateful for your expression of love for Lora. Funds will be used for bereavement and funeral expenses. After costs are covered, the remaining donations will be contributed to the organization Stand Up to Cancer which Lora herself so valiantly did.
