A few days ago, wildfires swept through our community in southern Portugal. In just hours, 36 hectares of forest, our homes, gardens, orchard, and the wooden cabin I had just finished building, were reduced to ashes.

I lost everything I owned. I am left with only what was in my backpack that day.

I’ve started this crowdfunding to recover and find the strength to begin again. Any donation, big or small, would mean the world and go towards cleaning the land from the destruction, to recover the forest, and towards temporary shelter and basic items to get through this moment.

From the ashes, we will rise again, with love, resilience, and dedication towards regeneration.
