Hi y'all, my name is Kelsey Woods (they/them).
I’m a 30-year-old nonbinary person living in Portland, Oregon. I work as a bartender and am working toward becoming a tattoo artist in the near future. One of my long term goals is to give back to my community by offering reconstructive tattoos for people who’ve undergone gender-affirming surgery, so they can feel more at home in their bodies.
Why I’m Fundraising
To be totally honest: I’m done having boobs.
I’ve never liked them (on me anyway), and I’ve lived with chest dysphoria for as long as I've had breasts. Talking about that discomfort isn’t easy for me, but it’s become a real strain on both my mental and physical health. I can’t bind forever, and I’m so ready to finally feel at home in my body.
So I’m officially giving my boobs an eviction notice. My top surgery is scheduled for March 10th of this year!
Where the Funds Will Go
While I’m incredibly grateful that my insurance is covering a good chunk, the out of pocket cost of the surgery itself is still significant, which is why I’m asking for help.
Every dollar raised will go directly toward the remaining cost of the surgery and supporting my recovery time.
Because bartending is a physically demanding job, I won’t be able to return to work right away. Having financial support during recovery will allow me to rest, heal properly, and focus on getting back on my feet safely.
If you’re able to donate to my reverse boob job, I’ll be forever grateful. ❤️ Even sharing this page means the world to me.
I also want to acknowledge how unsafe and volatile this country has become for trans people of all identities. Trans rights are challenged daily, access to medically necessary care is increasingly uncertain, and funding for trans healthcare continues to be threatened.
I’m incredibly lucky to live in a state that still offers support and access to care. Once I’m healed, I fully intend to give back to this community that has helped carry me through.
Thank you so much for reading, sharing, donating, and supporting me in becoming my most authentic self.
