Loom Rescue for Co-op
Donation protected
We have a floor loom (pictured) and two knitting machines in a foreclosed house in Pine Bush, NY. Volunteers at the Chapel Hill, NC, co-operative and autonomous zone can put this equipment to use, making fabric and knitwear to reduce their dependency on capitalism, and to distribute to the homeless and other needy. Our goal is to rent a van, drive it from Nashville, TN, to Pine Bush, load the loom and knitting machines while we still have access to the house, and deliver them to Chapel Hill, then return the van to Nashville. It's actually cheaper for the rental to do a round trip than a one-way. We actually only need $2100 for the expenses; the overage is to cover GoFundMe and processing fees.
