Help us dedicate a pergola in memory of Ken Firstman

 

The things that brought our father and husband Ken Firstman the most joy were his family and enjoying a good book. We decided to combine his favorite past times and create an outdoor shaded area in his memory that could be enjoyed by his children and grandchildren and the greater community of Tekoa, Israel.

 

Just a few years ago, during one of our father’s visits to Israel, he sat in the very spot which we plan on building and enjoyed the beautiful view of the historic Herodian fortress. The local municipality of Tekoa has generously supplied the location and your contribution will go towards construction and materials to build the pergola, swing, and memorial garden.

 

Creating a place in Israel, where our father’s children and grandchildren can sit, enjoy a book, play, and take in the scenic view would bring our family (and we’d like to think our father) a lot of Nachat נחת.

 

We invite you to come and visit, sit together under the pergola, share in each other’s company and maybe even….enjoy a good book.
