Looking out for Geoff Sheldon

Most of you will already be aware of the misfortune that befell Geoff Sheldon over the xmas break. He was seriously assaulted over a misunderstanding whereby he was attempting to help his mate, and another person read the situation wrong, then assaulted and permanently disfigured Geoff causing loss of sight in one eye.

The whole thing was deeply disturbing and unfortunate, and as a friend and workmate, I’d like to show support and help him through this difficult time by arranging a collection, to show we all care.

I've known Geoff, as his work collegue for 9 years, and have always liked his happy attitude and infectous smile. He's the go-to guy on the shop floor for me, (as the chassis designer), because he'll give me good practical advice, when I ask for it, he's always cheerful,  gentle and has a big heart.

Please give as much as you can, to help him through this awful episode in his life.

I'm sure anyone who knows him will feel his pain. Lets all take this opportunity to show him how much we care, please give generously.

He's had many surgeries already, and will need more still. He'll need help with learning how to adjust to many of the simple things in life that we all take for granted, things that will affect him from now on, having lost one eye. His ongoing earnings have also suffered, compounded by his neck surgery.

We spoke a couple of days ago, and incredibly he's in good spirits, and is still his happy old self.

But that's just my point, that just goes to show what a top bloke he is, and makes me so sad that such an awful this has happened to him.
