Mike Freeman went to the hospital to be treated for a sudden illness in October. During the nearly three week stay, the doctors found he had stage four Multiple Myeloma. With Mike’s progressing Alzheimer’s, cancer treatment was not an option and he was given just a few weeks to live. The only insurance he and his wife Sue have was for accidental death, not illness. Sue will be in need of money for funeral arrangements and medical expenses. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Mike was a well know Memphis historian and Elvis expert making him well loved in the Elvis community. He knew many people from all over the world who loved coming to Memphis to take tours with Mike and Sue. He was very knowledgeable in Civil War and Blues music history. He was the president of the West Tennessee Historical Society and a former member of the Shelby County Historical Commission.
