Hello my friends all over the world
My name is Amal. I am a mother of three beautiful children (Mayar is 13, Zein is 9 and Maria is 3 years old) I graduated from the university, English Department then I started working in Theatre Day Productions (the only theatre company in Gaza) in 2008 where I met my husband Murad, he is a theatre actor, director and drama teacher. This is a great place where every day you can learn something new. And truly I never think to resign this job or even to leave Gaza.

During TEDx event that took place twice in Theatre Day Productions
I was living in a shared house with the family of my husband. Then I and my husband decided to buy new house. So, in 2022 we were able to buy our own house, we bought a house in building in the Tel Al Hawwa neighborhood of Gaza city. It took more than six months before we were able to move into this house on 20 of January, 2023 and I remember that date very well. Because, for me, that was the date of the beginning of a new life for me and for my children. We lived there approximately nine months before the day of October 7 happened.

Our apartment is in the eighth floor to see all Gaza city from above.
We stayed in Gaza city three nights, the most difficult nights we have ever lived, the bombing didn't stop, so next morning we had to leave our house and go to the middle area and I can't tell how the situation was after we left our home, no winter clothes, no blanket, no mattresses, no water, no food.
After two months of the war, it was the end of the world for me as our apartment was badly affected by the bombings and at the same time my office in Theatre Day Productions was bombed as well in Al Jala street in the middle of Gaza city. So, I lost my home and my office.

My office building where I spent most of the last thirteenth years of my life was bombed.
Our life turns upside down, currently, the situation has become so dangerous and dire that prices are up 10x, food has become so scarce and expensive, that drinkable water is barely available. Every day, I hear harrowing stories from friends, neighbors, colleagues who have been brutally wounded or killed.

Despite all the violence we are exposed to and the lack of resources in Gaza, the cessation of our theater project was one of our psychological problems. The Theater was our space in which we express our dreams and our humanitarian message, and in which we reveal our feelings. It has ended indefinitely. For us, returning to the theater - which was not just a job - is the return of the soul to the body.

Your support, regardless of the amount, will make a huge impact on our lives and at this point very well may save our lives specially my children who deserve better life like all children all over the world.

This is our beautiful Gaza that we all love
