Looking for help for my dental surgery!

Hi everyone,

My name is Shanice, and although it's not easy to ask, I need help. I've been recently unemployed and work as a coordinator, actor, writer, and filmmaker. Recently, I went to the dentist because one of my teeth had a pink hue.

I was told I have tooth resorption after going to the referred specialist (an endodontist). Resorption happens to teeth that have been affected by trauma for extended periods ( For those who may know me, I had braces for over 7 years). Due to that trauma, cells in my tooth can mutate and start to break down the tooth from the root outward. Basically, my tooth is eating itself. Gross, I know. I had this problem three years ago, on the right molar and had to get a root canal to remove the infected root and clear away the decay. This is, unfortunately, an unavoidable disorder and can happen at any time. In a statistically rare event, it has happened again on my left side molar. The only difference now is that the cost of the procedure to fix my teeth has nearly tripled to about 3,500 CAD.

I do have dental insurance, but my coverage barely covers 40% of the expenses, and as I'm unemployed, I don't have a lot of money for the procedure and to support myself. It would mean the world to me if you could donate to help me with this procedure. I unfortunately can't put off the procedure till later since my tooth decay can spread to the other roots, resulting in the loss of multiple teeth. I'm asking for the money to not only cover the procedure but also support any extra expenses for aftercare. Thank you for taking the time to read my story, and thank you so much for your help.
