Feed your community - Help us look after London!

We are a team of hospitality industry colleagues based in London.  Since March 19th we have working with our partners and suppliers to deliver more than 2,000 meals to those in need throughout London - the homeless, under-privileged children, NHS staff and other key workers. 

We've donated £15,000 of meals and we now need funding to keep these meals going!

We are supporting the following charities and hospitals:

Our Story:
On March 19th we organized an operational network amongst restaurant partners and suppliers with the aim of doing our best to help those most in need -  just five days later we had delivered 250 meals to the community and dropped our first support package to St Thomas’ Hospital.

By April 1st we had donated 500 meals to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, St Thomas’ Hospital, St Mary’s Hospital, and University College Hospital as well as Charing Cross Metropolitan Police.

At this point we were receiving more requests from London hospitals and other groups within the wider London community. We were struggling to sustain this though, particularly as the majority of the deliveries needed to be within walking distance of our restaurant partners due to the cost of transport limiting who we could reach within London. We needed a stronger distribution network so we contacted City Pantry to see how we could work together. They were very happy to support us by offering delivery staff and we came together to form Feed Your Community. 

The partnership with City Pantry accelerated deliveries and Feed Your Community now delivers to 12 NHS hospitals, Nightingale's at Excel, CityHarvest and homeless shelters in Victoria, Walthamstow, Clerkenwell and Limehouse.

On 8th April we reached a milestone of 1,500 meals donated. On 17th April we reached 2,000 meals. 

Additionally Feed Your Community have partnered with Magic Breakfast who work providing nutritious breakfasts and expert support to 480 schools across the UK, reaching children at risk of hunger so that they have the necessary fuel for learning at the start of the day. One of our restaurant partners produced a fundraising food item for sale as well as offering free school meals for children that are eligible as schools continue to prolong closures.

Feed Your Community now has a great network but we need your donations if we are to meet our goal of supplying 2,500 meals a week to those in London who need it most. 

All money donated will feed directly into City Pantry to cover the cost of meals and these meals will be distributed amongst our charity partners. Each meal costs £6 which includes a hot dish, side and a drink.
