Help Look2Justice Go National!
Look2Justice (L2J) is a grassroots organization of justice system-impacted organizers who working to end mass incarceration through civic education and empowerment. We operate on an inside-out organizing model, meaning our organization is led by currently incarcerated people working in concert with outside organizers who are primarily formerly incarcerated and/or have incarcerated loved ones.
We have been invited to participate in a panel hosted by Busboys and Poets, a progressive bookstore and community gathering space in Washington, D.C., in August. The panel will feature the work L2J is doing to change harmful laws and policies through civic education and engagement. This is an incredible opportunity for our relatively new organization to spread awareness about our work and connect with policymakers and activists.
We would like to send four members of our staff and board to participate in this panel, each of whom are system-impacted. To make this possible, we are trying to raise $3,000 to cover the cost of flights, hotels, food and transportation for our organizers. Please stand in solidarity with us and help us send our organizers across the country to share the powerful work we are and continue to do.
