Please help us stay open during shelter-in-place. We love seeing you, your family, and your friends in our 49 year old pet shop and want to stick around for many more years! We've had a crazy time since buying Not Just Thee Fish Bowl and re-branding as Looking Glass Pet Shop , and need to ask our community for help. We've had so much fun hosting animal adoption events and being a part of our Evanston small business community so far, but have had some set-backs as well.
In January, a pipe burst above us and destroyed the larger half of the store and part of the smaller. We've been trying to operate as best we can, under the circumstances, and appreciate everyone who has continued to come in for their pet supplies! Renovations are slowly moving forward, but now we've taken another major hit alongside other small businesses during the shelter-in-place order due to COVID-19.
Your support during this time will help us keep our doors open so that we can all benefit from a remodeled store with expanded product choices and room for more pets. During our short time as Looking Glass (7 months), we also saved over 48 animals and carefully found homes for each. We can all make it through this if we help each other, and we want to be able to serve you -our community - and help many more animals.
Even if you cannot help by making a donation at this time, please pass this along to everyone you know - and shop with us online if you are local! We are offering curbside pickup and delivery options as we practice social distancing during these tough times.
As a very small token of our appreciation, we will send or give a Betty Button (of our large Sulcata Tortoise) to everyone who donates as long as you enter your info.
