Lonnie's fight against Leukemia.
Donation protected
Lonnie has been battling Atypical Chronic Myeloid Leukemia since last summer. Upon diagnosis it was determined that a bone marrow transplant would be needed. Since his diagnosis, and in preparation for the transplant, he has had his spleen removed, numerous rounds of chemo treatments and extraction of all his teeth due to potential complications from periodontal disease. During this time, Lonnie has been unable to work.
Thankfully, a 100% bone marrow match was found and his transplant is scheduled for February 28th. He is currently admitted for final preparations for the procedure. Following the procedure he will remain in the hospital for a minimum of 25 days after which he will be released under Samantha's homecare.
Lonnie's journey towards recovery has been, and will continue to be, filled with challenges, both emotionally and financially. As he takes on this next battle and the long recovery that will follow with unwavering courage, we want to rally around him and his family to provide the support they need during this difficult time. We want them to focus on Lonnie and his recovery, not on finances. Help make that possible by making a donation and/or sharing. Every little bit helps.
Thank you for your prayers, generosity, and support.
