On February 5, 2024, Dunlap School Bus #50 was in an accident during a normal bus route. A truck pulled out in front of the bus, causing the bus to skid off the road and into a deep ravine and head on into a brick commercial building. The bus driver kept control of the bus, avoiding a much serious outcome.

However, Mr. Lonnie Edwards, the bus monitor, was thrown down the aisle inside of the bus; yet after the accident my son reported he helped get the kids out of the back of the bus. He is 70 years old. The bus driver has a separate GoFundMe, but it would be remiss if we did not try to help Mr. Edwards. Please consider supporting him during this traumatic time.
