Lonna Berry Medical, Family & Memorial Fund

On Friday May 13th, the world lost an incredibly beautiful soul. Lonna Kay Berry passed away shortly after her 58th birthday and left behind her loving family who stood beside her up to and through her very last moments on this earth.

Because of her determined nature and steadfast strength, Lonna was in the hospital for a month, fighting stage 4 melanoma, a diagnosis just received in March.

It was a roller coaster of emotions, as Lonna kept living and fighting constantly, despite doctors telling them all it was time to give up. Her family was willing to exhaust every treatment and resource possible, and any option to assure they had done all they could to help Lonna battle the cancer. Her healthcare providers obliged and did the same.

Despite the efforts of Lonna, her loved ones, and her providers, she did eventually succumb, comfortable and at peace. Lonna was thought of by all who knew her as a strong, kind, beautiful, and hilarious woman, and truly a rock one could always lean on.

Lonna was always willing to lend a hand, offer an ear, or give a solution to any problem. She lived life to the fullest and was always laughing and having fun.

Lonna is survived by her loving husband Dan, son Taylor, daughter Kayln, step daughter Tiffany, mother Linda, sister Tammy, brother Steven, and grandchildren Kalia, Audrina, Calvin and Ryder.

Lonna did not want to ask for help, she wanted to be the one giving it. She did not want the pity of others. It is for these reasons, and her determined expectation of a quick and decisive recovery, that help was not requested until now.

If you can find it in your heart, please take the time to donate anything you can to this family who, as much as their matriarch was, has always been willing to lend a helping hand to others.

Your donation will help to pay for her extensive medical bills from her month-long hospital stay, assistance for the grieving family including her husband and eight month pregnant daughter, as well as the expenses of her celebration of life.

Lonna’s family thanks everyone for their love and support during this difficult time.
