Long Road to Comrades

1200 Miles : 20 days : Cape Town to Durban
Running Comrades Marathon every day for 20 days

In May I'll be joining a small team of 6 runners from the UK and Africa in the ultimate test of physical abilities.

We'll be running 58 miles/ 90kilometers a day for 19 days from Cape town to Durban, South Africa. On the 20th day we'll run Comrades Marathon , the worlds oldest and most popular ultramarathon

We'll have a small documentary team with us shooting the ins and outs, highs and lows of the entire journey.

I'm an average guy who just likes running. I've run ultramarathons, stage races, expeditions, and logged 10's of thousands of miles in over 40 countries on 7 continents. Experience aside, this will be a unlike anything I've ever done.

So why do it? I see the human body and the spirit within as the last great uncharted territory. The next generation of explorers are searching the depths and abilities of the spirit. What are it's limits, and once you reach those limits, how much farther can it truly go? Let's find out.

Here's where you come in -
First of all: We need your emotional support. This will be impossible without your encouragement. Help us tell the story.
Follow the journey.
Interact with us.
Share it with your friends.
We'll be sharing it with you every step of the way. And when the journey is completed, we'll have a killer film for you to see it all for yourself.

And secondly: We need your financial support. We have arranged for preliminary media and product sponsorship but need so much more. Between the lodging, food, water, supplements, shoes, gear, fuel, and insurance the expenses add up.  Please take some time to think about being a financial partner in this exciting human experiment.
Would Edmund Hilary ever have climbed the Everest Summit or Amundsen ever reached the south pole without the support of their team?

If only 10 of you partnered with $500 I'd be fully funded and on our way to comrades.
If 50 of you awesome people partnered with $100, I'll be lacing up my running shoes at starting line.
If 100 of you gave $50, I'd be trotting along singing your praises across the African continent.

Our Non-profit partner is Children of the Dawn . A portion of every dollar you give goes directly to seeing lives changed for children in need all over South Africa.

A new generation of exploration is here; will you be part in it?
