Hello everybody,

My name is Nene, and I am Kenita (Tan) Preston's oldest daughter. On the evening of December 30th, 2025, my mama told us she had a headache, and she went to lie down. She started to throw up and began to become less coherent. After the ambulance was called and we got to the hospital, we were told that she had stopped breathing on her own and needed a ventilator, and that a blood clot on her brain stem had caused her to have a stroke. She had surgery to remove the clot, and everything had gone well. On December 31st, we were informed that there was too much swelling and there was no blood flow to the stroke area. We prayed, and we were there physically so she would feel the love that we felt for her. On January 1st, the doctors did their last test, and Kenita Preston was confirmed brain-dead. During this time, everyone whom our mama introduced us to has shown up physically and spiritually for her and us. As we prepare for everything that comes next, we want to send her off the best we can, and to do that, help is needed. If everyone could find the best version of Tan in them and donate what they can, even if it's a dollar or two here and there. Even in death, Tan wanted to help people, so she, too, is donating even in death. So let's all be a little like Tan. We are scraping up what we all have, and sadly, cremations are expensive things that we can't do on our own. All donations are welcome, as well as all prayers. Thank you for anything you provide.
