On May 17th, my friend Josh Davis tragically lost his life after drowning while out on the lake. Josh was someone that I had very much respect for. He stood up for those who needed him, he stood up for himself, and he was never afraid to be himself. Josh was 18 years old, had a passion for God, and a very bright future. He was an extremely talented singer, and was also very passionate about his friends, family, and basketball amongst other things. Josh always gave 100% effort in everything he did. On May 20th, Josh would have been graduating from Farragut High School, something that I am sure his whole family was very proud of. He was an exceptional friend and student, and from the stories he told me I know he was also an exceptional son and brother to his family. The tragedy that has occurred cannot be cured by anything, but we as a community can come together to help Josh's family in their time of need and grievance. No mother should ever have to bury their child. It is our duty to help his family in any way possible. I hope to raise this money in order to provide support for Josh's loved ones in the wake of his passing. Josh, we love and miss you more than words can explain. You will never be forgotten.
