On September 7, my beautiful niece, Alyssa Hale, suffered a severe asthma attack while at her friends house. They called 911 and started CPR. When the ambulance arrived they found her not breathing with no pulse. The EMTs took over and got her stable enough to be transported to the hospital. She was intubated and put on a ventilator.
Today Alyssa still remains in a medically induced coma. She will need to come off of the ventilator, be extubated and undergo a tracheostomy before her sedation can be lowered enough to try and wake her.
There have been several obstacles that she has had to overcome, but Alyssa has been SO strong. She has remained stable, which is a wonderful thing.
We are now facing a bunch of scary unknowns. We won’t know the full extent of her injuries until she awakes. Her doctors do suspect that she has some brain injury…the extent of which is unknown. She will need long term care regardless. ❤️
We, her family, friends and loved ones..ask that you pray for a swift full recovery. This fund will be collected by my sister, Stacy Sousley and used directly for the long term care of Alyssa and for any medical expenses that may incur. Any amount of monetary donation will be a blessing and if you are unable to donate…please please continue to pray.
