Long term medical expenses for Augie

Hi everyone, my name is Libby. Early Saturday morning my brother, Augie Adan, was crossing the street on his way home and was struck by a vehicle while fleeing the police after being caught doing burnouts in a high traffic intersection. It was a hit and run, the driver of the vehicle has not been caught yet.
Augie went through orthopedic surgery and vascular surgery to try and save his left leg but the impact was so severe and despite their best efforts he had to have his leg amputated above the knee. Along with that, he also has a broken pelvis that will be operated on Monday (8/7).
Due to this we are raising funds to help with in patient and out patient care that will occur over the next year. We also are trying to fund the cost of a new prosthetic leg so that he can get back to his life as best he can.
On behalf of my entire family we would like to thank everyone in advance for reaching out, donating and keeping him in your thoughts and prayers, as it will be a long road to recovery.
