Hi my name is Taylor. I am Becky's bestfriend and I am organizing this to help support them during this hard time!
As some of you may not be aware. Andrew and Becky unfortunately have had their world flipped upside down in the last week.
While they should be focused on welcoming their new baby boy on Oct 7th. They have been going through an unexpected health scare with Andrew.
Andrew ( age 36) was admitted to Kingston general hospital with a massive brain bleed on his right side , which started with a simple migraine behind his right eye but a CT scan revealed it was a bleed while he was in Ross memorial hospital. The CT scan was sent to a neurologist in Kingston hospital, who immediately wanted him to be transported by emergency ambulance.
Unfortunatly Becky had to go off work earlier than planned without pay.
Once they arrived at Kingston general hospital they were informed how severe his bleed was. They followed up with another emergency CT scan which lead to immediate surgery ( to help relieve the pressure) as the bleed was getting bigger very quickly. The surgery was very successful and thankfully he doesn’t have any major deficits.
They are both in incredible spirits and doing their absolute best to adjust to this new life while at the same time still preparing for a new born to make his arrival any day now.
With Andrew not being able to drive for atleast a few months ( and he’s a truck driver for a living) he will be off work for a while and travelling back and forth to appointments will be a challange.
The doctors at Kingston hospital said Andrew came through the surgery miraculously and although he has a long recovery journey ahead he’s exceeding their expectations, being discharged Thursday October 3rd. With continued appointments multiple times a week of medical staff coming to the house.
These are two of the strongest people I know. Anyone who knows them knows that they don’t like to depend on others for help.
This money will be going towards any financial needs they are going to come across.
This is just one way anyone who has been asking can help! All and any donations are more than appreciated!
Thank you all for you support!
