Hello everyone! Most of you all remember me from the 6 years I spent with grateful doggies. The years on the road were not easy on me and I developed a hernia (as well as gaining weight and the other health issues) that I should have taken care of, but never were bad enough to make me do anything about them, as time went on, they got worse, thats when we moved to Florida and continuing on the road every week was physically and also logistically not feasible. I started to see doctors and went to see social workers to apply for gov.. assistance since I wasn't working and don't have any sort of health coverage, and have been continuously and ceremoniously denied any help from the great state of Florida, I am currently in the appeals process, but have been denied at least three times now, each time Taking at least a month for them to look at my case again. Then at the beginning of January this year, my intestines became incarcerated and I required emergency surgery, I had all that done, two hospitals, an ambulance transfer, surgery, anesthesia, hospital stay, each incurring their own bill and charge. Three weeks after surgery the sutures inside ripped, and the repair failed, putting me in the same spot I was before surgery, in a position of "not life threatening " enough to be considered for emergency surgery, but not disabled enough for state help, while under doctors orders not to go back to work..... fed up with the way it works in a red state, ive started to look at other options, and erin and I have found a surgeon willing to fix everything, including the tear the original surgeon missed....however out of pocket expenses for everything, travel, hotel, the medical suite, etc, is over 7500 dollars, not including the 15k+ in medical bills so far.... however not working, care credit and loans won't give me enough to make a dent in the cost...... I normally don't ask for help, and it's really going out of my character to do so, but im really out of options at this point, if I can come up with half of the cost, they have a program to allow me to make payments on the rest....so here I am, asking please, if you can help me get back up on my feet , it would mean the world to me.... all money generated will go directly to paying for the new surgery so that I can get back to work and fix the rest of this mess.
