Justice for Jacob Matthew Taylor
Donation protected
I write this today with tears in my eyes and a heavy heart. On November 1st, we lost our beloved Jacob Matthew Taylor to another senseless act of gun violence. Jacob was only 19 years old and did not deserve to leave this life in the manner he did. Jacob was the firstborn child of Montez and Jessica and the fierce protector of his younger sister Jade. Jacob loved life and, more importantly, his family. He was an amazing son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend.
Recently, the Taylor family received the most amazing news that their family was growing, and Jacob was ecstatic about becoming a big brother once again.
All of these moments of happiness were stolen from the Taylor family on November 1st by the monsters behind Jacob’s death. Rather than planning a baby shower or designing a nursery, the Taylor family is now planning a funeral and facing the unthinkable task for any parent—saying goodbye to a child. No family should ever have to endure that level of pain or loss. Words cannot express how this tragedy has impacted Monty, Jessica, Jade and their extended family. We all know that their lives were changed forever on November 1st, and nothing will ever be able to fill the void created by Jacob’s absence. All they have today are priceless, beautiful memories, videos and pictures of Jacob.
Today, we ask that you continue to keep the Taylor family in your prayers and are asking for donations to assist them with the final arrangements for Jacob. We thank you in advance for your donation and close by saying, “life is fragile and can be changed in the blink of an eye.” Jacob knew he was loved because those who loved him told him regularly. Don’t forget to tell those you love how much you love them, and parents, please hug your babies tight.
Jacob, although you were here for a short time, you have left an indelible mark in our hearts. We love you, will miss you beyond words, and will never forget you!
