Long Lake Smallmouth Bass Stocking 2021

The Michigan DNR has approved a permit application to stock Smallmouth Bass in Long Lake. Based on recommendations from the DNR Fish Bioligist, the plan is to stock 1000 fish (6 - 8” long) in the fall of 2021 and another 1000 fish in the fall of 2022. Long Lake is ideally situated for Smallmouth Bass, with deep water, plenty of forage and baitfish. Smallmouth Bass are natural down stream in other tributaries of the Huron River.

Pound for pound, Smallmouth Bass are one of the greatest fighting fish for anglers.
