Currently our equipment is in need of repair and upgrading. Not to mention our club recently just had a brand new boat stolen! A new boat can cost anywhere between $12,000 for a rowing pair, to $30,000 for a rowing eight. And that doesn't even include oars, which are $500 a piece!

What rowing means to us... Long Island Rowing Club is so much more than just rowing. It was formed to provide opportunities for young people to compete in and enjoy the many aspects of a sport that can be carried on throughout life. To that end, rowing offers a complete cardiovascular workout without impact. It takes immense discipline to be a part of a rowing crew; the effort develops character and fosters team-building techniques critical in today’s business marketplace.

Our Rowers at the high school level come from schools across Suffolk County; Northport East Northport, Cold Spring Harbor, Commack, Dix Hills, Elwood, Harborfields, Huntington, Half Hollow Hills, Patchogue, Port Jefferson, South Hampton and Riverhead. Our club sends boats to the NY State Championship every year! We have earned medals at Nationals and developed rowers for the Junior National Team. With your support we can keep on winning!
