Long Island Mother - Fighting Metastatic Cancer

We are fundraising on behalf of our mother, Jeanne Mayrose, who has been diagnosed with stage 3-4 metastatic carcinoma.

For the past 13 years, Jeanne has been living with Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (aka the “suicide disease”) which has caused her extreme pain, and has left her unable to use her right foot.

In December 2023, she noticed a mass on her upper left leg. It took 2 months to get a diagnosis of metastatic carcinoma, and by then the mass had grown significantly, causing even more pain and leaving her unable to walk or rise.

These past few months, Jeanne has been in and out of the hospital numerous times for consults and diagnostics. She has received radiation, and will start chemotherapy this week. Surgery will be planned once the mass has been reduced by radiation.

Getting to this point has been difficult to say the least - physically, emotionally, and financially - and we know she will be enduring even more hardship as chemotherapy treatments begin.

Any money raised will help offset the crippling medical bills associated with hospitalizations, medication, future surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy.

Jeanne is a loving wife, mother and grandmother who has spent her life caring for those she loves. We will never be able to repay her for all she has done for us, but hope this fundraiser can ease her financial burden in a time of great need.
