Beloved local 'mom & pop' music store may have to close its doors for good after serving the community for 40+ years!
Business: The Long Island Drum Center of Little Neck, New York

Owner: Tony Fabiano
9/22 - (Addendum: August has come and gone and we are fast approaching Fall...I will keep this open a bit longer in hopes to increase the community support for our beloved local shop and friend)
9/22 - Note to the Supporters: Thank You All for coming together on this and please continue to pass on the word.
For years kids of all ages, races and creeds have enjoyed the music, conversations, education and expertise of people of The Long Island Drum Center School of Music in Little Neck, NY.
With the sad and horrible Covid-19 pandemic raging across the world, LIDC has taken a very hard hit. As of this letter LIDC may be nearly 6 months in arrears on the rent and numerous overhead expenses with no let up in the foreseeable future. The business has been forced to shut down since March 20th...and NYC has yet to give him the 'green light' to open the teaching aspect of his business.
A neighborhood endowed with a store like LIDC is invaluable to the community. I have entrusted my daughter to LIDC for the past 6 years and it is a staple activity in her's as well as numerous other kids' lives. I have exhausted all avenues of trying to help my dear friend Tony during this crisis hence I am turning to you, the generous GoFundMe community.
Goal: The goal is to raise $20,000 by the end of August 2020 to help LIDC raise enough funds to cover the past due expenses and help Tony update LIDC for the new way of doing business.
I am setting this up on Tony's behalf because he is just too proud of a man to ask for help on his own but I know he is in dire need. In the past, out of his generosity, he has given his time and donated musical instruments to people in need. And this is my way of supporting a local business that is a much loved fixture in the community.
If you are able, please help LIDC to continue it's journey...to give the 'kids of all ages' the caring, happy, local shop they have grown to love, where everyone is welcome to talk about, learn about, listen to and continue to love music.
Thank you so much for your time, consideration and much needed help in this matter.
God Bless Us, Everyone!
Randy & Emily
