In need of working pc for gaming and mod work

I am a working mother of 5 kids. My husband is unable to work due to COVID having long-term effects on his body. I have been struggling to purchase a new PC that can run the new Ark dev kit after my last one broke.

The PC that I had purchased is unable to run the dev kit, and now it has also stopped working entirely. We've sent this PC back 4 times now, and as of this morning, it's no longer working. I just want to be able to make mods again and be able to play games with my children.
