Hi, my name is London, and I’m currently a senior in high school with a dream of attending Florida A&M University to study nursing. I’ve worked hard to get accepted into the school, but now I’m facing a huge financial burden that I can’t overcome alone.

When I applied to college, I also completed my FASFA, but unfortunately, I didn’t qualify for any federal assistance. Around the same time, my mother lost her job and my dad’s business has been struggling, making it impossible for them to fully support my college education.

I come from a big family with 3 sisters, one who is currently in college and another is about to start. So my parents cannot take the risk of using a majority of their money on me to attend school. I’ve applied to several scholarships, but because I didn’t qualify for need based aid, my options were limited. I’m trying to raise $30,000, which will go directly toward my room and board which is about $12,000 and tuition and fees which is about $18,000.

I’m covering my own costs for books, supplies, and transportation, but I need your help to get over this last, hill. With your support, I’ll be able to attend the school I’ve worked so hard for, without putting my family further into financial hardship.
