I was recently the victim of a hit-and-run accident caused by a drunk, uninsured driver who walked away from the scene, leaving me to deal with the damage and medical expenses alone.

My car sustained major damage, including possible frame damage estimated to cost over $5,000 to repair, and I’m now also facing medical bills after being examined following the accident. Unfortunately, I do not have uninsured motorist coverage, so these expenses are completely out of pocket.

In a time where so many situations become political and the driver is also undocumented, I chose not to pursue things further and instead am asking my community for help, compassion, and support so I can move forward and rebuild.
