London to Brighton - The Brain Tumour Charity

A bit about me if you didn’t know….

• Not cycled in 10 years
• Multiple hospital trips from cycle accidents
• Zero fitness or exercise in many years
• Recently quit smoking – Still vape daily

4 Key reasons as to why this is such a challenge for myself
I have signed up to cycle from London to Brighton, a total distance of 55 miles!

So how did my first cycle go?
5km in, glowing red, struggling to catch a breath, towel was thrown in and collected in a car

I now have 3 weeks remaining before the big day! After training on an exercise bike and turbo, it is now time to get the miles in training daily in hopes that we can complete the challenge

Why I chose The Brain Tumour Charity?
I never thought I would ever be writing about this, but back in April my dad was taken into hospital with a suspected stroke.
He is a real-life Iron Man, the definition of health, young, doesn’t smoke, frequently attends the gym and always active, driven in every aspect in life! The biggest inspiration.
Unfortunately, the suspected stroke came to be a brain tumour, and after surgery and treatment he is already heading in the right direction to be back to that Ironman in no time.
After all that has happened I’d love to give just a small part back to The Brain Tumour Charity in hopes to raise awareness and help fund future treatments to all those affected.

Finally, I just want to say a thank you to all who have read this and a huge thank you to all who donate whatever amount, it personally means a huge amount!

Here is to 55miles
