Hey everyone,
As some of you may already know, on 26th April this year I’ll be running the London Marathon (slightly terrifying ). I was incredibly lucky to get a place through the ballot, and I’d love to use this opportunity to raise money for two charities that are very close to my heart.
The first charity I’m fundraising for is Erskine Veterans Charity, which provides care and support for veterans across Scotland. I’ve chosen Erskine in memory of my Grandad, Gordon Stephen, who sadly passed away suddenly in April last year after a battle with cancer. My grandad proudly served in the Royal Navy for 33 years, and Erskine’s work supporting veterans and their families means a great deal to us.
When I was younger, I made a bet with him that I’d be able to do a one-handed jumping handstand by the age of 18. As most could’ve guessed, that never happened… but I think he’d be far prouder of me completing the London Marathon instead.
The second charity is Gary Andrews Remember a Life, which is very close to my heart. This charity was set up in memory of Gary Andrews, my boyfriend’s dad, who died of cancer in 2013. Since being founded in 2018, Kelly and Josh have done an incredible job supporting families affected by critical illness by providing grants for everyday expenses or helping to create special memories during difficult times.
All money raised will be split equally between both charities ☺️
Thank you so much for any support, donations, or encouragement along the way.
