London International Youth Science Forum
“Science knows no country, because knowledge belongs to humanity, and is the torch which illuminates the world.” - Louis Pasteur
My name is Angus Croak, and I have an insatiable passion for science. I always have. This passion stems from not only the innate beauty of science, but also the meaningful advancements it has afforded to all levels of society as a result of its evolution.
I have been fortunate to be selected to attend the 2019 London International Youth Science Forum… also referred to as LIYSF. I am incredibly humbled and understand the gravity of this amazing opportunity; I am extremely thankful to have been chosen.
The program, 24th July - 7th August, has an overall fee of $7, 100, which covers travel, accommodation and food. A deposit of $2,500 for the program is due by the 2nd of April.
If I am able to attend, I will spend two weeks at the Imperial College London, attending lecture demonstrations from leading scientists, visits to world class laboratories and universities combined with cultural interaction.
I am currently completing Year 12, and am hoping to pursue an undergraduate research degree majoring in Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry at ANU (Australian National University). I hope to find a fulfilling career helping others; a career utilising STEM that assists the community and benefits the broader society.
I was selected for this event through my participation in the 2019 NYSF Year 12 Program, which I highly recommend to any students in Year 11, it is truly life-changing: https://www.nysf.edu.au/
Any donations, large or small, are greatly appreciated.
Thankyou
