Hello friends, creatives, collectors, admirers, and appreciators of the strange, surreal, macabre, and bizarre —
Significant news, everyone! I’ve been invited to exhibit my work this September at the British Arts Fair at the Saatchi Gallery in London, as part of DBA: Digitalism , the esteemed digital arts section of the event. It’s an incredible opportunity and a huge step forward in my creative journey, and I’ll be showcasing a selection of my most defining and favorite works from the past couple of years.
It’s incredibly exciting and I’m doing my best to make it all come together — but to be honest, it’s a massive and intimidating financial lift.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Getting to show at Saatchi means exposure to galleries, curators, collectors, and press on a grand and international scale. An estimated 14k + people are expected to come through the gallery doors over the course of the fair! In addition, showing as part of DBA: Digitalism represents a further legitimization of my work, and allows for me to meet, converse, and network with artists, collectors, and art minded people of all types of backgrounds/interests, from traditional mediums to genAI integrations and beyond. It’s a moment that could very well meaningfully shift my path as an artist and carve out new opportunities for me in the future, but it’s also something I have to fund entirely on my own. And it ain’t cheap.
THE COST
The cost to participate in the fair itself is £4,000 (~$5,400 USD) — and that’s just for the gallery stand space. It doesn’t include:
• Flights & lodging in London ~ $2000
• Printing and preparing artwork for travel ~ $1600
• Framing and matting artwork in London ~ $3500
• Shipping, insurance, and materials ~ $400
• Promo, installation, and show handling ~ $300
• Lost income from missing one of the busiest work periods of the year ~ $4000
I’m also endeavoring to bring a close friend & creative partner along as an assistant — someone who’ll be helping me stay grounded, organized, and sane through the intensity of this experience (it’s a lot to navigate)! As a long time collaborator and trusted champion of my creative pursuits, having them join me on this opportunity is a massive boon. Part of the funding will go toward helping cover their travel and lodging expenses so that I’m not doing this alone.
Total Estimated Costs & Expenses ~ $16, 500 (goddamn!)
THE ASK
I’m admittedly quite bad at asking for help — especially when it comes to money. But this opportunity is real, and it’s big. My hope is that you can see its significance too, and help me step into it with confidence instead of hesitation.
To me, this represents a massive movement towards my goals as an artist, a brand, and a business. I have made compromises in my life in recent years to truly allow me to focus more time, energy, and resources into my artistic pursuits, and this is something I simply must do to honor my work and embrace the potential.
If you contribute, you won’t just be supporting a plane ticket. You’ll be directly helping me present my work on an international stage — with the tools, time, and focus I need to do it right.
KICKBACKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT
I am grateful for anything, and everyone who contributes will receive something in return (donor gets a treat?) — because I want this to feel collaborative, not transactional, and also getting stuff in the mail is fun.
Here’s what I’m offering at different tiers:
• $10+ : A digital thank-you + exclusive supporter-only art wallpaper
• $75+ : A Death Milk enamel pin + social shout-out
• $125+ : A signed mini print
• $250+ : A small limited-edition signed gicleé print
• $500+ : A large limited-edition signed gicleé print OR a custom pet portrait done in true Death Milk fashion (as signed gicleé print)
• $2,500+ : A custom one-of-a-kind work created just for you, and presented as a 1 of 1 signed gicleé print (details TBD) + GOATED status for life
EVEN IF YOU CAN'T CONTRIBUTE
I acknowledge that I’m asking a lot, and I know we are not all titans of finance, so sharing this campaign even if you can’t contribute financially means a ton. If you’ve got the means to do so, please do so! Forward it to a collector, a creative ally, a patron of weird art, a homie, a curious/confused relative, whomever you might think would open the link. Every share, every dollar, every bit of support helps me step into this exciting, intimidating, momentous experience with more confidence and grace.
Thank you for being here, and thank you for being part of my journey & experience as I continue to make weird stuff.
