London2Brighton Ultra Marathon (100km) for Salcare
At the end of May, I am running 100km (62 miles or 2.5 marathons) to raise money for Salcare, a fantastic Derbyshire based charity that provides support for vulnerable people, including victims of domestic abuse, those with mental health issues and those struggling with day-to-day life. Why?
1) The devastating financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic has left many charities and community groups in a worsening financial situation, at the same time experiencing a continuing increase in demand for their services which are imperative to the individuals and communities they support.
2) Premature Mid Life Crisis? Maybe.
The race will take me 12-15 hours, taking me from Richmond Park, London to Brighton Racecourse; by far the toughest event I have ever done.
Every donation is greatly appreciated, and thank you for your generosity.
