Chloe's Bear Mitzvah Project

As part of my becoming a Bat Mitzvah and a responsible Jewish adult, I have selected a Mitzvah project close to my heart that I've named the Bear Mitzvah Project.
As many of you know, I have spent some time this year in doctors' offices and hospitals. Through it all, I have stayed strong and held tight to my worn out and loved childhood teddy bear, Fluffy. I cannot express to you how much comfort this hairless bear provided me during such a scary time.
I have decided to raise money to buy teddy bears for other young patients at area hospitals. I hope that these bears will bring peace and comfort to other children, as my Fluffy has for me.
In addition to distributing teddy bears, I will also donate a portion of the donations to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America. We are hopeful that better treatment and a cure will be found.
