Hi, I was recently a volunteer with the Sea Turtle Conservation Project in Lombok, Indonesia, run by the local environmental group Green Lion. They are working hard to save three endangered species of sea turtles. With no government funding, they rely completely on volunteer labour and donations.
This committed group needs to keep operating their open-air water tanks, which provide daily safety and food to young sea turtles until they are old enough to be released into the ocean. They require funds to buy a new portable water pump, construction materials to build more tanks, and ongoing supplies for sea turtle care, including medicine.
Please help this impressive group continue their important work in saving endangered sea turtles. Without their efforts, the turtle eggs are eaten and/or sold at market. Many factors from predation to climate change and shoreline development threaten the survival of these species. The waters around Indonesia, where the Pacific and Indian Oceans meet, are an important migration route for sea turtles.
Any donation amount will help ensure that this vital conservation work continues. Thank you, in advance, for your generosity.
