Lola's Urgent CCL Surgery

Donation protected

Hi everyone,

My name is Jordan Crapia and I am a college student graduating this May. I have had my dog, Lola, for her whole life. She's more than just a pet; she's my constant companion, my rock, and my biggest source of comfort through every challenge. She was with me stepping into adulthood from my childhood home, city to city, apartment to apartment. She comes with me on vacations, study sessions, and hikes in the woods. She's incredibly sweet, the biggest cuddle bug, impressively smart (she knows the coolest tricks), and she is loved by everyone who meets her.

Recently, she tore her cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) in one of her knees, a painful injury that requires surgery as soon as possible. The longer we wait, the more strain it puts on her other leg, which is already starting to show signs of damage. It is heartbreaking to see her confined in her crate (to avoid further damage), in pain, unable to play or even walk normally.

The surgery costs $3,500, and unfortunately, I can't afford it on my own unexpectedly. As a full-time student, I rely on Pell Grants and also work two part-time jobs.

I am doing everything I can for my baby, but I am reaching out with hope that kind people can help me give Lola the care she needs to walk, run, and be her happy self again. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to her healing. If you're unable to donate, sharing this campaign means the world to us, too.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
