Some back story on Lola (the loaf). Lola came to us when she was a year old after being passed from home to home. She was scared and anxious at all the times to the point she wouldn't get on the couch and would sit in the corner shaking. Lola has grown with us and is a detrimental part of our family. Lola is referred to as the loaf due to her ongoing love of any soft surface to snooze on for hours at a time. Though she is only a couch potato inside, outside her favorite activities are rolling on anything that peeks her interest (grass, mud, dirt, concrete). The reason for this go fund me is unfortunately not uncommon. Lola had an appointment at her vet yesterday to check her heart murmur and to check two small bumps on her side. The bumps came back with mass cell tumor cells in them. Lola now needs surgery to remove them and run tests on the masses to see if chemo therapy will be needed later on for treatment. She's been a fundamental part of our family and our growth together for 9 years now and we aren't ready to lose her without trying any option we can. I never thought I would do one of these but life can be unpredictable with my husband and I currently trying to dig ourselves out of credit card debt from our other dogs emergency treatment of a spine swell just a year ago.
