Hi, my names Kimmy and I'm raising funds for life saving surgery for Lola my 13.5 year old GSD Husky.

I bought Lola home as a 5 week old pup as she was failing to thrive. She was emaciated to the point of having fits. The vet didn't expect her to make it to 6 weeks old. With love and determination and a whole load of difficult decisions we have spent a happy and healthy 13 years, 4 months together... So far. She is so much more then a dog, a pet. She has seen me through all of life's curvballs and tough times and grown a beautiful bond only a GSD can with my 8 year old kiddo. She is family. The original baby.

Over the years she has essentially worn out her tail and now needs an operation to amputate it and remove a small benign lump from her mammary gland.

Her vet has known her for 10 years and agrees this is the best course of action, her spritely nature shows she isn't ready to give in yet and neither are we.

Lola is due in surgery on Thursday, i have covered the mamory lump removal and some of the tail amputation however we still have a way to go to save her.

We are reaching out to our community to ask for help in giving Lola the golden years she deserves. Every donation, no matter how small, goes directly toward her surgery and recovery costs. Lola has spent her whole life taking care of us and seeing us through our hardest days—now, it’s our turn to take care of her. Please help us bring our girl home for many more happy tail-wags (even if they are a little shorter!) and many more memories with her favourite 8-year-old human.
