Lola's Fight Against Breast Cancer

Donation protected
The beautiful lady above is my mother, Lola Lumpkin-Jones who sacrificed everything for our family and her church community. A God-fearing woman, who would give the shirt off her back to help anyone in need. She has been there for me when no one else was, and helped me become who I am today. In mid-February, our family received some devastating news that my mother has been diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer. She would begin chemotherapy the following month in March. What hurts me the most, is that in 1997 my mother was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer. Meaning that she has been in remission for 20 years, until now.

My mother was born and raised in Oconee County, where she graduated from Oconee County High School in 1979. She worked for the American Red Cross, until her retirement in October of 2015. She attends Morton Chapel Baptist Church where she worships on a weekly basis. A strong prayer warrior, with a bubbly personality, whose faith will impact anyone that she meets.

One thing I can say, is that my mother has never lost her spirit, nor her hope that God will see her though once again. Even though my parents have health insurance, she still must pay $500.00 every time she goes to the doctor. Last week, she had to go 5 times.

Whatever God places in your heart to give, we will be thankful. Please pray for our family! I know that the Lord will see us through this tough time, and this will just be another testimony underneath my mom’s belt.
