Lola's Dad needs help

Hi, my name is Lucie, and I am raising money to help support my best friend, a brother, a son, and a loving member of this community, Rene Carriere.

On December 23, 2024, Rene was a victim of a home invasion. Rene attempted to escape his home from the invaders, he fell, and instantly broke two bones in his leg, and while still trying to flee, further damaged all the muscle and soft tissues in his leg. His service dog Lola was separated during the invasion and the community rallied to find her for days of round the clock volunteers, and with prayers she was found.

However, Lola was not able to return to her home and her loving father. Rene has been hospitalized with major surgery on his leg, and has fallen for the worse, sucumbing to pneumonia. Rene has been induced into a coma and put on life support as the hospital staff are working round the clock to bring him back.

Rene is a retired firefighter, a member of the Falcons Veterans Motorcycle Club, and a respected member of this community. Rene is know for opening his home to friends and strangers alike for BBQs and fundraising, and can always be seen laughing and smiling.

Money being raised will help Rene with sustaining his mortgage and bills while we all await him to return home to us and begin his recovery. Any help from the community would be greatly appreciated.
