Lola is a 10-yr old tripawd Lab who shines a light on everyone she meets! Lola demonstrates the best adaptation anyone makes is to greet life with joyful enthusiasm. She is also a fighter. She adapted to her leg amputation, she is a cancer survivor (hemangiosarcoma), and now we learned she has an adrenal tumor.
The adrenal tumor was an incidental finding on Lola’s 6-month post-chemo ultrasound. This adrenal tumor is unrelated to her previous hemangiosarcoma. She has tested NEG for Cushing's. We consulted with a board-certified surgeon as recommended by our primary veterinarian and oncologist. He feels that Lola is a good candidate for surgery due to the current size of the tumor, stable lab work, normal blood pressure, and chest x-rays and ultrasound reports. If the tumor is not removed, it will continue to grow and could eventually start pressing against, or invading, her vena cava. This is the best time for us to pursue surgery.
Lola’s resiliency has always been inspiring and has made her the perfect Kindred Souls Foundation L’Abassador! She visits schools, retirement communities, assisted living facilities and veteran events. Her mission is to spread joy and show people that there is no need to be shy about looking different! We want her to be able to continue her important work.
Surgery is expensive, but it gives her the opportunity for more years of receiving and giving love and joy! We would be grateful for your support in donating to her surgery.
Surgery Estimate: $7,500 - $10,900.
Provides sanctuary to abandoned, abused, and neglected cats and dogs of all ages, a holistic approach to their care, and education on the rewards and responsibilities of animal companionship.
Every contribution, big or small, makes a real impact. Even just a few dollars can help move this mission forward and reach those who need it most.
If you can’t donate right now, sharing this fundraiser is also incredibly helpful. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. It means the world to me.
