If there was an award for “mom of the decade” it would be this woman. Lola suffered from an aggressive form of metastatic lung cancer. Never a smoker, however, worst luck couldn’t have happened to a better person. Naturally in possession of a kind and gentle disposition, Lola championed her kids, was commonly known for her cheerleading in the stands and her faithful help in the community and schools. All who knew her loved her.
Lola was able to fight for four years this fall even though the doctors told her she would only last 2 years.
Part of that fight was expensive; treatments to places outside of Alaska (due to limited resources) proved to be costly for the family. Please help us support them through this difficult time.
