Hi my name is Nico!
If you know me, you know Loki. He is my one-year-old Pitbull, a total "velvet hippo," and the absolute light of our lives. He doesn’t just live with us; he is a son to me and a source of constant joy for my mom, dad, and brother. He has that classic Pitbull smile that can turn any bad day around.
About a week ago, while doing what he loves most—playing—Loki suffered a serious injury. He tore his ACL (ligament). Watching a pup who is usually so full of energy suddenly unable to walk or play has been heartbreaking for me, Loki tries not to show any emotion or worry about it but I was concerned!
After consulting with the vet, we were told that Loki requires surgery to repair the ligament. Without it, he will be in constant pain and could permanently lose the use of his leg, or even injure the other one from overcompensating.
Unfortunately, our insurance has denied coverage for the surgery and the necessary medications. Between the surgical costs, medications, and the physical therapy he will need to walk again without any pain or discomfort, the expenses have climbed much higher than we ever anticipated.
I’m not usually one to ask for help like this, but Loki is family. We are doing everything we can, but we need a little extra help to get him the medical care he deserves.
• No amount is too small. Even the cost of a coffee goes directly to Loki’s surgery and recovery. ❤️

Muchas gracias! from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to read Loki’s story. We will keep everyone updated on his surgery and his journey toward recovery!
God bless you!
with love Nico & Loki
