Loki desperately needs our help
Donation protected
Meet loki, such a prestigious and handsome gentleman.
I dont know too much about Loki's past ,but what I can tell you is that it wasnt too good. He was relinquished to a friend of mine 2 days ago from a family that made the right choice for loki .
Immediately after seeing him I knew i couldn't look the other way . So off to my vet weeks went .
He has Bacterial infection in his hears so badly that he can't hear , developed polups. Skin infection , yeast infection in his poor feets as well as bacterial .His poor feet are so swollen and inflamed that the top of his paws and webbing split open when he walks . Some of his nails were up to an inch embedded in his pads .the vet sedated him yesterday to give him a much needed nail trim . There was about six that were growing straight into the pad. Our vet cleaned his feet treated them . He is currently on antibiotics, ear drops, pain medication, steroids, antibiotic ointment, sealt water foot soaks , and just lots of love . Its been a tough few days for this guy . We're not really sure about the damage to his ears if any yet, as there was no way to see the ear canal , we will find that out later .His gums are so inflamed from bacterial infection that it is painful for him to eat .We were told yesterday that would take approximately 6 months to get his feet back to where they need to be. He is going to require on going care.
At this point I'm depending on the kindness of people to help with this. I've spoken with our vet's office, and they are willing to receive all of the donations in his name. Any donations that come in past our goal, will be held at Blue Sky veterinary hospital for future treatments for him.
I understand that this may upset a few people seeing the condition of this dog, and rightfully so. However I would just like to remind everyone that this family made the right decision, and that now we need to move forward with the appropriate care . Currently he's going to staying with myself, until he is better. There will be an option at some point for rehoming, but that won't be until we make sure he is fully healed, and on the right track.
If you don't want to donate through this gofundme, you can donate directly to Blue Sky veterinary, please make sure you put Loki in the message
