#LokenStrong money for Bobs cancer treatments
Donation protected
Hello-
For those of you who don't know me, every year I run 100 miles to raise money for something law enforcement related as I have spent the last 18 years in law enforcement. For almost 12 of those years I was a K9 handler. During my career as a handler, I met Bob Loken from the Oakland County Sheriffs Department. Bob is a great friend, great K9 trainer, handler and deputy. The type of person who would drop everything and help you out whenever you needed it. Bob was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer last November. Bob has been fighting like a warrior for over a year now. This has taken a huge toll on him and his family. I thought the best way to show our support for Bob and his family would be to raise some money to help him financially through this trying times.
This is why April 1st I will be running from the Lansing Police Department to the Oakland County Sheriffs Department to raise money to help ease the burden financially for Bob and his family. Please, any amount you can donate will help. Support one of the warriors who has made it his life's mission to protect and serve others. If you can't donate but want to help, please contact me.
Sad Update:
Bob sadly passed away on January 8th. All money raised will be going to his family. Bob leaves behind his wife Meagan and children Kyle, Caden and Maddie. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers through this difficult time.
